On Wednesday, Microsoft released their highly-anticipated preview build of Windows 8.1.

Microsoft Senior Product Marketing Manager Michael Niehaus reiterated that message in the RT in the Enterprise session on Tuesday. When the 8.1 preview is available, Windows 8 and Windows RT users will receive a Windows Update notification. That update will trigger the new bits to show up in the Windows Store, where potential testers will be able to read the description and choose whether or not to install.

The time has come for PC manufacturers to start unveiling new hardware in association with Intel’s forthcoming fourth-gen Core i-series “Haswell” processors, and some are doing it earlier than others.

Acer, recently busy with its Star Trek[yes,the movie] inspired Aspire R7 unveiling, has announced even more PC products: a new 8-inch Windows 8 tablet, a second slim S3 ultrabook to accompany the also-updated S7, and a refreshed Aspire Z3 all-in-one desktop PC. Some of them feature Intel’s newest fourth-gen “Haswell” processors. Here’s the brief news on each.

Samsung is slated to unveil the next Intel-based Galaxy tablet at Computex, which starts 4 June. It will run Android 4.2.2 and sport a 1280×800 display.

What’s odd is that Samsung is a chipmaking giant in its own right and considered an Intel rival in Android mobile devices. For example, its Exynos series of chips power the Galaxy smartphones and Galaxy tablets.

But it may have good reason to tap Intel technology.

Maybe,its probably just a rumour but sources tell that Taiwanese based manufacturers HTC are planning on releasing two mighty tablets this year by 2013.One of them is said to be a 7 inched full HD Display Windows RT[OS 8] powered tablet called the R7 which possesses a processor speed of 2.3 GHz ,quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor,2GB Ram functional memory.And will also feature a 13 megapixel auto focus rear camera and will come out with 16 GB of internal memory supporting expansion up to 32 GB via microSD card[External Memory].
