Microsoft Senior Product Marketing Manager Michael Niehaus reiterated that message in the RT in the Enterprise session on Tuesday. When the 8.1 preview is available, Windows 8 and Windows RT users will receive a Windows Update notification. Microsoft announced earlier on thursday[today] that they are working on a new kinect sensor very similar to their latest model [ Xbox One Kinect Sensor] for Windows… allowing people to issue commands using voice recognition and simple hand gestures.
The sensor will include a high-definition color camera and a noise-isolating multi-microphone array. Also part of the system will be a technology called Time-of-Flight, which measures how long it takes for photons to bounce off a person or object.
